The Yakima OnRamp LX bike is an excellent bike rack, especially for towing larger and heaver bikes such as e-bikes and is a favorite of many e-bikers and van travelers. Unfortunately, this bike rack often blocks the view of the license plate and obscures the brake and turn signal lights on many vehicles when loaded with bikes; this can be a massive safety concern for both you and your vehicle, and the drivers behind you. Additionally, many states have laws that require the license plate to be visible at all times, even when towing a trailer or using a trailer hitch accessory.
Our light bar kit provides an alternate and visible location to mount your license plate on the back of your Yakima OnRamp LX bike rack and also provides highly visible brake/turn signals and license plate lights. All of the lights we use are long-life, highly visible, waterproof LED lights. The light bar is 36" in length, made from 6061 aircraft aluminum, and is both very light weight and extremely durable. The light bar comes finished with a black matte epoxy paint from VHT that matches the factory Yakima bike rack finish very well. VHT epoxy paint is extremely durable and is designed specifically for use in automotive applications.

- 10 - Zip ties
This light bar mounts directly to two existing bolt locations on your Yakima OnRamp LX bike and requires zero modifications. The installation is very simple only takes a couple of minutes. Our light bar was designed and is assembled right here in the USA.
